lately

Things have been busy.. I can't believe we're already half way into February. We have been skiing.. we are getting a little better each year.. haven't completely left the bunny hill behind but we're working on it.

We attended a Knicks Game.. our first one.. it was fun.. but I still think I enjoy watching hockey games the most.

The kids participated in their school science fair..

My parents, who were in town in December are back in town again and before they left the country they wanted to do one more little getaway with the boys.. so we made a quick trip to DC over the weekend..

M and I also had our birthdays last week.. the celebration has been postponed but it's something I'm really really looking forward to.

We recently picked up Ben Clanton's Narwhal books for H and these are the cutest books.. even D has been joining us for story time each night. If you have a little reader in the house.. or know a little reader, they will love these books.

  12. so glad you could see your parents one more time before they go, i bet you miss them when they leave. We just saw our daughter and son in law over the weekend, so nice. Our son might be moving 9 hours away and I am grappling with this reality gracefully and very ungracefully. I miss the littleness of my kids.

  17. Love how you write the date - 20200210 - that is the way my grandson has to date his English papers here.
You must live near New York to be able to go to Madison Square Garden - I have always wanted to go there.
Your boys are adorable and congrats on their science project.
I bet it is hard for your mom and dad to go home! Love the grands.

  21. Happy Birthday to you and M and many, many more! What a precious picture of the boys with your Mom and Dad - such a handsome family - and I love the ski pic of M and D and H! How fun that the boys got to work on a science project together! How does that work with two different age levels? D looks like, "Yeah...another one" and H is like, "OMG I'm gonna be a scientist!" So precious! Thank you for sharing the Narwhal books. I do have little readers (grandchild and great nieces & nephew) and will have to keep an eye out for the books.

  32. The narwhal books...LOL. Fun to see your parents; your dad has an awesome beard! My SIL took my nephew for the first time down the slope; he was cautious. My niece, the firstborn, is expert and doesn't fall. The baby plays on the hill, racing down on a tube with my brother watching.

  36. That's wonderful that you got to see your parents recently. What a treasured photo you have of them with the boys. How fun to get some skiing in, and this is a nice photo of them all. I love to see snow pictures, as I don't get to see it here in California, unless I go up to the mountains an hour away.

    Have a restful weekend.
