                 The Washington DC Metro system is globally celebrated as one of the most prominent, cohesive, and successful examples of Brutalist architecture. Chicago architect Harry Weese designed them in the late 1960's.  This above photograph was taken inside one of the DC Metro's. I am hazing on which one exactly but Google says it might be Van Ness Station or another station along the red line.                                Many moons ago when we visited Baltimore we visited the American Visionary Art Museum. I don't remember much about the museum other than it being really cool. It had a stunning mirror mosaic facade and on the premises, somewhere I took this photo.                                This photograph was taken in Aruba.                                I took this photograph way back in 2012 when we visited Aruba . D was two and it was our first beach vacation, also our first caribbean island. I loved the emptiness of the sea save for the one sailboat in the distance.                                Have you heard of 'pareidolia'? It is the psychological tendency to perceive meaningful images, shapes, or patterns in random, ambiguous, or inanimate objects. The most common example is "face pareidolia"—seeing faces in things like electrical outlets, car grilles, or even clouds. I spotted this exposed water pipes, rust stains and I saw the sadness, the crying face.                                This was taken in Aruba . It was a hike or near a fort.. we had rented a car for the day.. this is back in 2011. D's first beach vacation.                                I spotted these beautifully colorful succulents in Canada. They are called Echeveria, often referred to as Violet Queen.
