Happy Holidays

Image
Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday filled with love and laughter. Our hopefully will be filled with travel and adventure as we headed out on our last trip of the year. You can follow along with us on Instagram The last few weeks have been busy. We managed to score seats for two Rangers games and thankfully they won both times. While we don't do the tree and gifts we do shop. Every year we take the kids on a book shopping spree and here is what they bought. M and I also celebrated 16 years of marriage. We were both sick and didn't really make too big a deal out of it. We did manage to have breakfast with some friends and dinner with some family.  Every year we add a picture on the wall above our bed to celebrate another year. Also want to wish you all a very happy New Year. We did it!  also peace, more open mindedness and understanding, more kindness, love and compassion for our fellow humans.          Etsy             Instagram             Twitter             Redbubble

It's That Time of Year

Image
If it was a normal year we would be on a hot beach somewhere soaking up the sun.. but this has been no normal year.. We are keeping spirits high though.. the snow filled past week really help amp up the joy. We have a slopping backyard which comes in really handy when it snows.. we had some neighborhood kids stop by and sled down as well. Keeping with the holiday spirit we decided to make cookie decorating kits for our friends and neighbors. I baked over sixty sugar cookies, packed little baggies of sprinkles and made colorful icing.. I had a bunch of pastel food coloring so our icing looks less Christmasy and more Easterish.  I'm going to be taking a blogging break for the rest of the year.. I wish you all a very Happy Holiday and New Year.                          Etsy             Instagram             Twitter             Bloglovin

Father's Day.. accidentally early

Image
It's Father's Day.. tomorrow June 19th is Father's Day, the third Sunday of June, the same time it is every year yet I let my husband sleep in last Saturday on June 11th. When he woke up we all went out to breakfast at Toast in Montclair to beat the Father's Day rush on Sunday. I thought I was being so clever. On Sunday D and I woke him up with a little present. I called my dad who lives continents away to wish him a Happy Father's Day while he sat wondering why my brother didn't say anything to him even though they live in the same house. We convinced my brother that he was a bad son for forgetting; only for me to realize half way through the day that it in fact was not Father's Day on that Sunday. That my brother was right and I was wrong.. something I don't like to admit. The day ended in giggles and laughter.. not a bad way to spend the weekend. So now what to do when the actual Father's Day rolls around? You do what matters the most, more t
