Lately.. -life has been crazy busy yet uneventful. M got a new job so his hours have been a bit long.. and his absence make us seem incomplete.. plus it makes him more tired and and give this pregnant woman no time to relax. So I snuck in a morning massage after dropping D off at school. And the thing I realized, I can not shut off my brain. The whole hour I tried to empty my mind and stop thinking but I couldn't, then I started to think about how I couldn't stop thinking! I this a girl thing or an A type personality crazy person thing? -my dishwasher has been broken for over a month now.. and my wonderfully incompetent tech first ordered the wrong part and now they say the part aren't available.. at all! Guess we have to buy a new one.. but the space under our counter is smaller than average so that limits our choices.. :( dish washing is not good for my back. -i have successfully and uneventfully  (thank god) made it to my third trimester.. wohoo.. but also sca

Celebrating 110 Photographs Sold

Image
I took my first photograph sometime in 2005. I had started with my dad's twenty year old manual Canon, we developed the film in our college's dark room, experimented with different processes and techniques. In 2007 after much convincing my dad bought me my first DSLR, Canon of course! Back then a DSLR wasn't a household gadget.. I bought my first lens.. both of which I still use today. I first decided to start selling my work in 2008. I tried different platforms and venues, I participated in an online auction where I sold my first four photographs. In 2009 I joined Etsy and it took me four months to make my first sale.. and now today five years later I have passed a milestone.. I sold my 110th photograph.. a wohoo is in order, don't you think? Eight of those photographs hang in the Regional Headquarters of PNC Bank, New Jersey. Ten crossed international borders. What better way to celebrate than to spread the love I am offering 25% OFF your next order all week

My Boys

I am running out of things to blog about these days.. and it's not because of the lack of eventfulness. There is plenty going on.. just not a lot I can share right now. We have contractors coming in, bids are being made and I am gathering info and learning so much that I can't wait to share.. but before I do numbers need to be crunched, pros and cons weighed and decisions to be made. Have you ever hired a contractor? Have any words of wisdom to share?
