Before I get to all the fun vacation posts.. for which I still have hundreds of photographs to go through.. I wanted to share a little after the vacation craziness.. When we came back home my sister in law and two kids were already at our place spending some time with the grandparents.. the day after we came home my sister in laws husband came.. and while everyone was still in our house M's aunt and uncle also came for a visit.. oh and my mom also popped in for a couple of days..  Here's a photo of them, I can't even begin to describe the shenanigans the four kiddo's got into.. it was all hugs and kicks, tickles and tears :) The last of our guests left today.. we are nearing the end of summer... before we know it'll be time to go back to school.                      Etsy             Instagram             Twitter             Bloglovin

The year has just begun and I feel like it's already passing by in a blur. Early in the month H had his birthday party .. we had requested no boxed gifts, thankfully most people complied and with those gift cards we got H a gift we thought he'd love.. and he did love it.. for about a week! and then one Saturday morning he asked me to sell it. They have understood the fact that mommy likes to sell the things no one is using and or things we do not need.. and so now he quite often asks me to sell his broken toys, used crayons and so on so forth. After double and triple checking with him M packed it up and off it went to another child's house who will hopefully love and play with it for longer than a few days. What H does love are his Lego's and Magformers.  What we have here is a Booger Cleaner.. it's for the kids who like to eat their boogers.. when the stomach becomes full of boogers you put this in your mouth and it'll suck out all the boog

Personalized Photo Memory Game

Image
Just want to preface the post with *this is not a sponsored post* I genuinely love this item.. love it so much I bought my second set a few months ago. I am raving about the Pinhole Press Memory Game . When D was turning 4 I saw it on Cup of Jo  and she was offering a promo code so I bought one for him as a present. We don't have family close by so I wanted the photographs to be of D with various members of our family. When D got a little older we realized the set of 24 cards just aren't enough.. and with H turning four in a few months I just ordered a set for him too.. a game of 48 makes it much more fun and challenging. Plus the boys and I love reminiscing over the old adorable photos.  This makes such a great and memorable present for the kids, for yourself.. a wonderful keepsake, something to treasure forever.                        Etsy             Instagram             Twitter             Redbubble             Zazzle             Socie

and we are already nearing the end of January.. what did we accomplish this month? so much.. and a whole lotta nothing. D finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.. and has moved on to James and the Giant Peach. Over the weekend we binged on the sinfully decedent Godiva Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory while watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie, the Gene Wilder one of course! We also discovered this month that D got accepted to an advance reading and advanced math class!! This deserves some celebrating and we have the perfect reward in mind.. Did you know there is a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical on Broadway?! Silly hat day in school H has some skills of his own.. he is talking up a storm! He is quick witted and has a clever reply to anything we throw at him. While mostly amusing it get's difficult to keep a straight face when trying to tell him no! Which is a lot.. he is very fiery strong willed child.  With D growing in

The Journey Begins - Karachi

Image
this post was meant for last week but some error occurred and it disappeared and in the craziness that is life it took so long to re write it :( Happy Labor Day my fellow American's... hope you are all enjoying your long weekend   Flying to Karachi is a minimum 16 hour ordeal.. there are no direct flights either. We flew via Emirates with an hour and a half stopover in Dubai. I started planning weeks in advance.. not so much for once we landed but mainly for the 16 hours it would take to get there.. I was very nervous about the flight. I packed snacks, water bottle, candy in case of emergencies like a crying fit.. I also packed a book each, a coloring book for H  those invisible ink ones , activity book for D, a bag of lego's and play doh.. my bag was full! Plus of course extra change of clothes for everyone and plastic bags.. D is our resident vomitter.  Thank God some twenty hours later we were safely in Karachi.. I say twenty because we had some flight delays in

I have been a bit absent.. I have a ton to post about but for some of it I'm not ready just yet. Mostly we are in between a lot of things.. like.. We have ordered window treatments for our and the boys rooms.. We went back and forth about curtains.. I thought about stenciling fun curtains for the boys like I had done before for D's nursery . But in all honesty I just don't have the time for a DIY. We bought and returned a few different curtains for our room.. our windows are placed oddly.. the set of windows on the other side are not a problem but this little one behind the bed is awkward.. so we thought roman shades? I'm mulling over the placement of art and photographs too.. something off center maybe..? Thinking thinking.. planning planning.. Speaking of planning.. we are also planning our vacation days.. hopefully my ankle will be better by then.. in case you haven't been following along here's the ankle story . I am now taking two medicines... and

A New Year

Image
I hope you all had a wonderful love, family and food filled Holiday season.. and a great New Year. The last few days of our year were spent spending time with family. My mom has been visiting for the past few months and around Christmas my dad flew in and will be spending a little over a month with us. D had been counting down the days and is now ecstatic. We spent and still are doing weekly movie nights Home Alone was a huge hit in our house,  sipping hot coco and playing games, UNO, Dominos, Foosball We also spent those days wrapping things up.. M took over a week off work and we tied up all the loose ends on our home projects.. pictures and details will come soon. While it was exhausting towards the end seeing the projects come to a close have been also very exciting and rewarding. You can take a look at some of our other home projects here Other days were spent doing a few last minute tasks for Hasan's big birthday bash.. yup can you believe it, he is one! With us as
