I am going to be sharing another one from the archives. This above photograph was taken in in Shiraz, Iran in 2007. Shiraz is the fifth most populous city in Iran and known as the city of literature and poets. It is also known for it's beautiful gardens.  We were visiting Iran on a school trip and this was taken at the Mausoleum of Saadi, a famous Iranian poet from the 13th century. Now I don't know much about the poet but back in his day we was considered a master of speech. This one is also from the archives. I love seeing the evolution of my work. I use to love to really zoom in on the details but now I often zoom out to get the bigger picture.  I took this one many many years ago, I was still in college and we went on a class trip to Iran. I know to many Iran sounds like a scary place but when we went some 18 years ago it was a beautiful place full of art and architecture. Yes, they were very strict about the hijab which was difficult for us because contrary to belief the hijab or burqa is not mandatory in Pakistan.  This picture is of a hand carved wall inside a mosque. I am fuzzy on the details but such details are very commonly found amongst Islamic architecture. While I no longer sell this photograph in my Etsy store it is available for purchase at Redbubble .   Etsy             Instagram             Twitter             Redbubb...

Weathered Door - An old door, obviously aged, paint peeling and the appearance of rust. On the door is an old antique knocker that to me looks more beautiful old and worn that I can ever imagine it new and polished. You can buy this print here .         Stars - A photograph taken in Iran, inside one of the mosques was a wall with a star inspired design carved into the brown clay wall. The design so intricate, so masterfully carved. Mirrored  - When touring a museum in Iran I came across a ceiling covered in rectangular mirrors, interwoven to make for a beautiful sight. And it was there that I took his photograph. The slight tilt of my camera creates more interest in the picture. And a sepia tone gives it an aged look. You can buy this print  here .
