The days to take off are nearing (where I'm going?).. and being away from M is going to be the most difficult part of it all.. we have done long distance before so why should it be any different? I don't think I loved him back then as much as I do now. Have you read our story?

How long are you going to be away from each other? How come?

I read your story, it's so lovely that it worked out. It is kind of similar to the story of one of my old housemates at uni, he came to England from Pakistan to study, when he went home for the summer after the first year he got engaged to a girl in Pakistan through an arranged marriage. They then had to wait 2 years while he was studying. Even though it was arranged, he was really happy because they were childhood friends and he loved her. Hurrah! Now they are married and living happily ever after!

Lovely story~~ your wedding pictures are gorgeous! I don't know if I would be able to do long distance. Even being away for a business trip makes me miss my husband and little doggy like crazy!

Definitely try to Skype when you can though nothing beats being together in person. I do believe a little time apart can make your love stronger. Also, thanks for sharing your story - beautiful and awesome to see how well it has worked out.

When the wall between our family room and kitchen see details here came down we had to deal with two different flooring, old carpet and newish laminate. The plan was to find the same laminate.. we found the box in the basement, how hard could it be? Harder than we thought.. that particular one had been discontinued.. and finding something similar was not an easy task..  Finding a flooring that was kind of close but not close enough would seem like a mistake.. so we decided to go different, this way it would seem like an intentional design choice.. I had always wanted a chocolaty dark floor.. The next thing to take into consideration was the transition between the two floors.. generally what is used it a T- Moulding, that strip you see in the above picture connecting the two floors together. D's Amazing Race Party

Last weekend our eldest turned 9.. and we threw him an amazing race birthday party! As with all the boys other parties.. I bought a plain white cake from Wegmans and let D decorate it himself. We had a total of nine kids.. they picked bandanna's out of a bag to create 3 teams. First Task Not all the kids knew each other.. they were too amped up with the idea of winning that they couldn't manage to calm down and read the clue.. so we had to really guide them through it.. they made mistakes and we let it go.. it seemed a tad chaotic..  Second Task I had 33 little medicine cups filled with M&M's and Goldfish crackers.. 6 of them had stickers on the bottom. The first two teams found the sticker in the first try... what are the odds!? And the third team had to eat a lot of snacks before they finally found their sticker. Third Task I bought 48 piece puzzles from the Dollar Tree. The boys took their time making ...
