The Story Of Us

I skipped last weeks blog because while a lot is happening.. not much is blog worthy. The kitchen is finally finished.. though not a 100%. The cabinet company we used sucked...(more on that later) so while we have a functioning kitchen we are still waiting on a ton of replacements. But at least we can have home cooked meals again.  I am currently spending most of my time figuring out where and how to put everything back in. The stuff I have managed to put back in makes me happy but what would make me happier if I woke up and everything was just perfectly organized. My biggest problem is that I am vertically challenged. What has been going on? We have been living in chaos. We are getting our kitchen remolded. While this was something we had wanted to do when we first saw the house it was something that we just weren't mentally ready for. We have redone practically every room in the house as you can see here  (the link is missing a couple of renovations so I should probably work on that) We have been in this house for over eight years now and have been talking about redoing the kitchen on and off for a couple of years. But it seemed too stressful an endeavor. Our house was built in the 1970 and this was the original kitchen and it was begging to be torn down. The dishwasher only washed sometimes. The stove only heated up in special sections. The floor was bubbling and I can go on. Work started towards the end of January and we are finally towards the tail end of it now. Late January M got some Ranger's tickets.. we really look forward to these and hadn't been back since Covid so were super excited. The game starts at 8pm so we decided to head into the city a little earlier and make a day out of it.  We got to New York around four so our first stop was Grand Central Station. We needed to get some coffee.. does anyone else experience a sourness in coffee? M and I have experienced it multiple times where the coffee has a sour taste and we can't tell if it's us. Anyway.. we drank our sour coffee and wandered around, sad to see so many shops closed. But really enjoyed their market.  Next we had gotten tickets for Summit One at Vanderbilt. Our tickets were for just after dusk and it was the most perfect breathtaking experience. Pictures do not do justice. Speaking of pictures..  WARNING OLD PERSON RANT COMING - I love my phone but the need to take pictures of everything for social media has ruined the experience of just enjoying the stunning

Happy February! As well as a Happy Valentines Day for those celebrating.. no pressure.  February is usually a big month for us.. as M and I both get a little older. My birthday was last Sunday (had a friends baby's first birthday to attend) and his was on Monday so we celebrated on Saturday. We treated ourselves to a Korean spa.  This was our first time doing something like this. It was a very unique experience. We went to gender separated bathhouses where clothes we not permitted. I kept my towel close by. After a good soak we had booked a body scrub and a scrub it was.. bye bye epidermis. After the scrub we were given a uniform to wear and were reunited in the sauna area. They had 6 igloo like dry sauna's of varying temperatures and special qualities to sweat in and then I final ice cave to seal all those pores. Afterwards we went to a traditional Pakistani restaurant to have chaat (a combination of chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, mint and cilantro chutney, tamarind chutney and
