A Lot and Nothing

We have been busy.. doing what you ask.. I don't know. A lot of this and that.. errands and unfun things.

I steam cleaned all our dining room chairs and the carpet in our family room and the rug in M's office. I did some ironing and hemming.. as I said fun stuff. There has also been paint touch ups and repotting some plants and we had to get our sprinkler system fixed as there were a few leak and no one of garage doors is acting up.

While I am cleaning inside the house I also cleaned up my TBR deleting over 100 books and removed a bunch of non followers on my Instagram and then probably added another 50 books.. lol.

With everything else taking up so much of my time the puzzle is not getting much love. I have had this out for months and I walk by putting in a piece here and there but have no time to sit with it.

For all of those who said give it some time and the birds will come.. you were absolutely right! The birds are coming.

I am so happy 😊 for you 💓 The birds 🐦 are coming, that's wonderful to hear.
I like the jigsaw puzzle you are doing.

I'm glad the birds are coming, though it's winter here we see a few birds once in a while.
Love your puzzle, look good and you have been busy doing those things that need doing once in a while.

Sounds like me but deleting pictures from my phone! That puzzle looks cool.

It sound like you have been very busy indeed. And somehow I cannot resist adding new books to my TBR pile either. Reading is an addiction, I guess :-) xxx

digital cleaning is just as fun as physical cleaning. I finally feel well enough to deep clean my house which has been neglected for a long time.

We've had quite a few un-fun things here too in recent weeks, including a sprinkler repair. Yay for the birds finding you!

There is always SO much to do isn't there? I'm so glad you did get visitors at your bird feeder. I should get one of those for Binx. It would drive him insane.

I wish I had a spot to leave a work-in-progress puzzle out.
Love the birds. The cleaning - not so much, but necessary! LOL

I need to go in and clean up my wish list at Libby. There are books on it I probably never will read, so there's no point keeping them there. Some of them the library doesn't even have anymore.
You'll finish the puzzle eventually. I haven't worked much on my current one in the last week or two.

Sweet bird, and yes they come eventually. So glad yours did. The puzzle looks like a fun one. Thank you for sharing your busy time with us, and have a wonderful week.
I envy your ambition to clean. For me it seems to always wait until the day before my cleaning woman comes for her monthly visit.

I enjoyed, and can relate, to this bird's eye view into maintaining daily life!

One of those times when it feels like nothing is happening, but a lot is getting done. That's great.

Yay! I'm so glad the birds got the memo! One of our UK discount chains are selling camera bird feeders for £25, I'm tempted, I bet you'd love something like that, too! xxx

Looks like a fun puzzle! I see a Chipping Sparrow, they are cute birds. Time goes by when you keep busy. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a great new week ahead.

I knew those birds would find the feeder! Sounds like the business I've been feeling lately too-- we just got our garage door fixed though mine hadn't been acting up as it literally broke when the spring snapped. But I have been doing lots of cleaning, hemming/sewing, repotting, etc.
I rarely put puzzles together until just a couple of years ago, and now I LOVE it! 😊

I hear you on the puzzle. And I can relate!
I have a puzzle that has been sitting too. ;-)
I am happy to hear the birds are visiting.

Lots of chores that suck up time. I know the feeling! That puzzle looks fun. I have the puzzle pieces turned right side up and laid out around the puzzle. I work on each image separately by gathering the puzzle pieces I can see will be used for it and set them together on the side on the bottom or inside the puzzle and then move onto the next image. Yay for the birds showing up!
Haha deleting 100 books and then adding 50 is still cleaning overall in my opinion ;) Yay for the birds!

I have a puzzle that is the same, sitting there for months, with very slow progress. I normally only work on them during the winter months, but haven't finished this one. I have done that, deleted a bunch of books only to add more, LOL! Have a great week!

Love that puzzle! Looks like one of the last ones I had at my last school. I would love to have a bird feeder at my house too! Unfun things do have to be done unfortunately. I'm slowly working on them too.

Busy doing a lot of nothing much sounds normal to me, that's how I spend many days

That must be so nice to see the birds at your feeder now. That puzzle is delightful. A good jigsaw puzzle is always fun to put together. You've got many chores done lately. It's always good to have those behind us. A happy June week to you.
The puzzle looks like great fun.

I don't enjoy doing the unfun things either but the payoff where things are better is usually worth it.

I'm so glad your birdfeeder is becoming popular. That type provides fun indoor viewing. :) I'm not sure where you live but the activity here didn't end after nightfall. Mice would climb up to the second story (!) of our brick house and nibble after dark. The sound alerted me first; it was rather cute. Be well!

Sometimes the busiest weeks are filled with lots of little tasks that don't seem exciting on their own, yet somehow they take up all our time! It was fun to hear that the birds finally discovered the feeder, and I had to laugh at deleting 100 books from your TBR only to add more. That sounds exactly like something a book lover would do!

Nice the birds are coming around to the new feeder. We enjoy bird feeders around our house too, but I haven't seen one against the window before. You're getting things done which feels good. And that puzzle looks good with all that chocolate ... Enjoy your peaceful days.
Yay for the arrival of the birds. That's a lovely feeder!

I'm so glad you got some birds! I have been having less luck with my hummingbird feeder this year, but I am getting a few.

You’ve been so productive! Cleaning, fixing, organizing--those little tasks add up. Glad the birds have started visiting, they make all the effort feel worth it.

Hi again, Hena. You asked how long was my Spain/Portugal trip -- I was on a guided tour and spent 7 days in Spain and 3 days in Portugal. The itinerary was very compact, so we managed to cover quite a lot of places in a short time.
I'm still writing posts about these two countries because, frankly, I don't have any newer overseas adventures to write about! This may well have been my last long-haul trip. Looking back, I'm amazed at how much we managed to see in just 10 days.
Much as I enjoyed the journey, I now shudder at the thought of long-haul flights. The destinations are wonderful, but the flights seem to get longer every year!

Oh, I'm so glad your birds finally came to your feeder. I have been unfollowing people on Instagram too. I can't believe how many people I was following that haven't posted in years.

Sounds like a lot of what is happening around here too :). One of my planta I repotted has died, well I think it has, I am still giving it love in hopes it will come back. I am glad you didn't give up on the birds, they are so fun to watch.
Glad your patience was rewarded with birds at your feeder. I saw my first hummingbird at mine this week. Joyful!!

I have an ongoing project scanning old photos into the computer and deleting photos from over the years. It seems I can never get finished. Hope you found some time to work on the puzzle this weekend.

I have lots of weeks like this too, the kind that nee all the things done! And you've reminded me, cleaning carpets is on my list. It's one of those jobs I don't enjoy doing but has to be done. Thanks for visiting my blog recently!
That puzzle looks intense! Love seeing the birds at your feeder!
