lately

Hello hello.. how is everyone doing?

M went on three trips this month and they all happened to be back to back. He flew to a conference in Europe and a friends reunion in Morocco and then another conference in Florida.

Before he left we went out for date night. We went to our local favorite.. 618. The food is great.. and has gorgeous decor.

Plus
they make amazing mocktails as well..how pretty is that? The food we inhaled.. next time I will try to remember to take pictures.

D has been working on his bowling skills in preparation for bowling season in his high school. We go to the local bowling alley at least twice a week... more if we could manage it and on Thursday he scored his first 159.

H's middle school band was invited to play with the high school marching band on homecoming. It was cool watching him play but it was a cold night and we were both happy when it was over.

And now M and H are both under the weather. M is all mucusy and H has a fever.

On Thursday we had tickets to see the Rangers game. So I drove into the city with the boys. I have a bunch of videos of our past Rangers games on my stories tab on Instagram.. Our first dating back to 2017! Check em out here

We did not win. It was a tight game.. 5 - 5 and the San Jose Sharks beat us in overtime.

But this fight lasted 38 seconds before the ref came to break it up.. no teeth were lost.

The little dude started to crash midway.

I sold my 239th photograph. I am often surprised by the things that sell and those that don't.

Oh and how pretty are these peppers M picked up from the farmers market?

I just bought an Instapot.. haven't used it yet. Do you have one? What is your favorite thing to make with it?

The capsicum do look good, something I use often in cooking.
Hope you all stay well.

Our granddaughters are in band in junior high here. Marching bands aren’t part of the band experience here though. It is too cold for it. What fun to attend the game with the boys!

what fun! I have never had an instapot but I cannot wait to see what you make and what you think of it.

What is that pretty thing that looks like an ice cream in a cone?

I don't have an instapot -- not enough room to store it! Love those peppers -- the multicolors always look so great in your food. It sounds like you've had a busy and fun life of late and you can't ask for more than that!

Congratulations on the sale of your photos, that is great!
I enjoyed that first photo. So sweet you two lovebirds.

Well done on selling your 239th photo, Hena!
That mocktail looks very pretty indeed. I hope it tasted as good as it looks :)
Sorry to hear that M and H are both under the weather. Here's to hoping that D and yourself will be spared! xxx

That mocktail looks amazing! I bowled on a team for a very brief time, but always thought it was fun. 159 is a very respectable score, IMO! Hope the guys are feeling better soon.

You've been busy. Will your kiddo do marching band when he's in high school? It's quite the experience. (Speaking from experience...)

I've always thought hockey was a neat sport. That's fun that the middle school band got to play with the high school band at Homecoming. Sounds like a nice date night. And I just got all those bell peppers at the store today too. There are so many dishes I make with them. Enjoy the remaining October days.

Looks like you've had some great times "lately." :) That decor does look gorgeous! And hope you enjoy the Instant Pot. It's something I use often from making full meals (soups, meat for putting together "burrito bowls," ribs, mac and cheese) to reheating leftovers. There are even recipes for cheesecake and it does turn out! :)

Love your pictures! That mocktail looks delicious!
What a wonderful date night! Seeing your son playing in the band makes me miss the times when my kids were younger and played in the band. Good times!

That drink is so pretty! I grew up in Flyers country and when I was in highschool sat next to the coach's son in homeroom for four years so learned a lot about hockey : ) I'm still a fan. I don't have an insta pot but my girls do and use it some. They use the air fryer more which is another appliance I don't own, but might consider. Enjoy your day!

What a lovely catch up! I'm so glad you and your hubby enjoyed a date night! It's so important to have focused time together :-)

I do hope your kiddos feel better soon! We've had the crud here too and it is no fun.

Have a wonderful day and week ahead!

I always enjoy a good hockey fight. What? I'm Canadian.
Congratulations on your wonderful photo sales! I bet it is surprising what sells.

Your kids are doing great. I hope they enjoy their activities.
Those peppers do look so pretty. I bought an instapot years ago. Ended up never using it and selling it at our yard sale ;p Hope you'll get more use out of yours.
That mocktail does look so nice! As do those peppers :) Congrats on selling your 239th photograph and hope M and H feel better soon!
Beautiful stories. Congratulations on selling those photos.

Nice you two were able to get out for a date since he was gone so much, looks like a neat place.
I am with the boys I too have caught something, It's that time of year again.
I feel the same way with my cards, some that I just love don't get the same reaction and those I wasn't sure of get more thanks from the receiver.
I didn't have good luck with our Insta pot, don't know if it is I just wasn't doing it right or what but I ended up giving up on it.

Hi. Great update. Excellent that you got in to see the Rangers. Hockey is awesome but now we are rooting for the Blue Jays in Canada to win the World Series! I really hope so. Your boys seem wonderful and congrats on selling another photo. I like mocktails ... it keeps me away from the booze. Enjoy.
Date night seems perfect!
Congrats on selling another photo! You're incredibly talented.

Ooh, that mocktail looks yummy! You guys are a cute couple too! I was an assistant coach for the bowling team at my last school, not that I am a good bowler, they just needed an assistant coach, so I was there to assist, lol. I love hockey games but it has been so long since I've been. I'm a bit under the weather right now with a sniffly nose and sore throat. I think it's from being so busy helping my mom move and then the changing weather. I always love your photos. There are several I would buy if I didn't need to stop buying things for my small home. But I should bookmark your site so I can maybe buy for gifts for others.
