I took this photograph in Amsterdam. We visited once in 2009 pre blog days and again in 2012 as a quick layover. I liked this photograph of the street lamp set against the graffiti background.
Prints are available in both my Redbubble and Zazzle stores.
I know not everybody likes graffiti, and I'm not always a fan myself. But graffiti can be art, too, and I think your photograph here captures that bit of it!
I love the contrast you captured between the street lamp and the graffiti. It gives the photo a cool, urban feel while still being simple and striking.
That’s a great shot—the contrast between the classic street lamp and the raw, modern graffiti really captures Amsterdam’s mix of historic charm and creative edge. It’s those little, unplanned moments that often make the most lasting travel memories. Thanks for sharing this!
That photo really captures a moment of contrast — the timeless elegance of the lamp against the vibrant, ever-changing voice of the graffiti. It feels like Amsterdam in a single frame: tradition and creativity existing side by side. Beautifully noticed.
Very cool.
ReplyDeleteIt's different. I don't mind it either.

ReplyDeleteI love it! So cool!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering what the graffiti says? My daughters visited Amsterdam years ago when they traveled through Europe. That street lamp is neat.
ReplyDeleteHappy September! It's such a pleasant month.
