When the wall between our family room and kitchen see details here came down we had to deal with two different flooring, old carpet and newish laminate. The plan was to find the same laminate.. we found the box in the basement, how hard could it be? Harder than we thought.. that particular one had been discontinued.. and finding something similar was not an easy task.. Finding a flooring that was kind of close but not close enough would seem like a mistake.. so we decided to go different, this way it would seem like an intentional design choice.. I had always wanted a chocolaty dark floor.. The next thing to take into consideration was the transition between the two floors.. generally what is used it a T- Moulding, that strip you see in the above picture connecting the two floors together. ReplyDeleteI adore lichen on trees! One of my own favorite things to photograph.
ReplyDeleteThat is simply GORGEOUS! Putting it on a pickeball racket made me smile.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that definitely works for those uses.
ReplyDeleteI love all these ways to use the image!!
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that you took something so common, so every day and made an image of it, highlighting its beauty and uniqueness!
ReplyDeleteI really like how this close up makes this bark tree look like an abstract print. It looks great placed on products. I have a Redbubble account, too, but I haven't sold much there.
ReplyDeleteAmazing macro photo, Hena! I'm always tempted to take photographs of unusual tree bark as well. Your image looks particularly amazing as a cushion cover or tote bag. Definitely a conversation piece! xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is a GREAT photo! It looks great on the skateboard and as wrapping paper, how cool is this!

That's such a cool journey into photography! I love how macro shots can turn everyday textures—like tree bark—into these beautiful abstract works of art. Even if it didn’t shine as a traditional photo print, it’s awesome that it found new life on Zazzle and Redbubble. That yellow and green combo is really eye-catching, especially on products. Shows how creative repurposing can lead to something totally unexpected and unique!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how photography can transform the ordinary into something truly captivating—tree bark becomes art when viewed up close! I really admire your eye for detail and how you didn’t let the initial lack of success stop you. Turning it into a design for print-on-demand products is such a smart move. It’s a great reminder that creativity can thrive in unexpected ways!
