A Belated Birthday Celebration

M and I both had birthdays in early February.. and while we didn't get a chance to do anything then we made a point to celebrate when we did have the time. We started this tradition a year or two ago.. I met M in New York City when he got off work.. we had dinner at Obao.. which was incredible.

and then went to go see Little Shop of Horrors at the Westside Theater.

It was a good show.. but we have seen better. I had posted about some of the shows we have seen a few years ago.. you can check it out here

The next morning we had breakfast at The Smith. We caught up with my cousin who moved to the city a few months ago for school.

It was a beautiful day and we took our time walking back to the bus station.. to head back home.

Happy birthday to you and your husband. I agree - have or celebrate when you can enjoy. So tell me - what was the first meal? Chicken - and hot jalapeno peppers?
You two make a cute couple!

Happy birthday to you and M! And it doesn't really matter when you celebrate, isn't it, as long as you do something special to mark the occasion. Both your dinner and breakfast do look delicious! xxx

It's good to celebrate together like this. It's the time spent, even if the event isn't the best.

Sounds like a great to celebrate. I went to a dinner party to celebrate a friends b day and had a great time. Too bad the show was not better, and I have heard good things about The Smith.

i looked at the shows you have seen, i have not seen any of those. i have heard "wicked" is excellent, it is one i would like to see. we have seen a few good ones, although i am not a huge fan of broadway shows. we loved "lion king" and "beautiful" the carole king story. i have heard "come from away" is excellent and i would like to see it.

happy birthday to the cute couple, the food looks amazing!!!

Happy Belated Birthday to both of you. That meal looks absolutely delicious! I love Broadway shows but haven't seen Little Shop of Horrors yet. Wicked and Hamilton are my favorites.

Happy Birthday! Your meal looks delicious, and those pancakes! How wonderful that you got to celebrate your birthdays together and do something fun. Going to the movies is always a fun thing to do. This is a cute picture of both of you, and the one of your cousin too. It sounds like you had a very nice birthday. : )
