lately

it's been busy around here..

TV has been mounted on the brick wall.. harder than it seems.

Curtain's have been found, bought and hung.. i promise pictures will come soon.. we've been so busy doing that I haven't found the time to take pictures.. and I usually have to hide all the baby toys and laundry lying around before I take any pictures.. I shall continue to live in the denial that I have a tidy house : )

We have a space near the garage and laundry room area that is sort of in limbo.. so we built some shoe organizers and a giant calender.. we'll call it command central.. again pictures to come soon I promise!

The boys are getting along wonderfully.. THANK GOD!

We have glorious weather one day and then it becomes frigid the next two.. I do not like this.. I need spring..

Over the weekend we decided to venture into the attic.. the door is in the ceiling of D's closet. A ladder was bought so that M could climb up and we were surprised by what we found up there..

There's a glimpse of just a few of the treasures and a whole lot of trash we found up there.. more on that in another post..

D has decided on the theme of his birthday.. so while it is a few months away.. I have started to brainstorm and make lists.

Now coming to the best part of today.. my dad is flying in.. my mom obviously couldn't be happier.. :D
He is here for a week.. and then they are both gone.. : (

This is going to be another busy week and we have big plans for the weekend so I may not post next Monday.. but then I am back.. so have a happy sunshine filled week even if the weather man said to expect snow tomorrow.. and a fun and relaxing weekend..

I love that photo of the boys together, so sweet. I'm glad you got into the attic. Sorry to hear about the trash up there, though! What kind of people throw trash in the attic? Yikes. It sounds like everything is coming together at your house. :)

Your sons are adorable and growing fast!
I'm looking forward to seeing your photos, especially the curtains. I think they are the most difficult choice to make when decorating a room. I hope you are getting your rest as busy as you are.

thanks :)
I don't think it started out as trash.. but it had been up there so long boxes and plastic bags had begun to disintegrate

they are.. i can hardly believe it sometimes.
the curtains were hard..and when we found the one's it was like bam! they bring the whole room together.

Hanging the TV on a brick wall sounds tricky :)

How on earth did you mount the TV to your brick wall? You'll have to get into that one. I'm curious!

Your post makes me wonder what's lurking in our attic!

Thank you for dropping in on my blog, it's nice to "meet" you. I love the idea of command central, sounds like just what I need - I'd love to see a photo. You're not the only one who has to hide clutter before snapping housey pics!

I exhaust myself just thinking about all of the work you do on that place.

I would love to turn our attic into some useable work space! The thought of unused space makes me so restless! But, of course DH would have to do the work and he is looking to retire next year and not do more remodeling!

If that totem head is any indication on what you found up there I can't wait to find out what else you found. The boys are too cute too.

lol.. sometimes we are exhausted too..

the attic could be such a cool hidden play space for the boys.. but i doubt we'd ever do something that crazy.. too much work would be needed.

lol.. it was the highlight of my weekend!

I know I live in FL so your cold is not the same as my cold, but I thought we were full on spring around here and all of a sudden we got some cold weather. Winter is really holding on this year.

Have fun with your mom and dad in town!
