The Story Of Us

Hope everyone celebrating had a wonderful thanksgiving.  On one of our days in Jamaica we decided to book an excursion. This was our first time booking an excursion. Usually we hire rent a car or hire a driver and do our own thing. This time I thought, let's make it easier and just go with everyone else and not have to think about any of it. Big Mistake! First of all I had wanted to go to Mayfield Falls. They only offered Dunn's (known to be the go to place for all tourist and cruise shippers so overcrowded) or YS Falls which I had also read were beautiful. So We went with YS Falls. The tour also included a stop at the Black River. Okay.. seemed fine. We were picked up at 8am. We inched through the traffic of Montego Bay only to find out we were first headed to a touristy gift shop! We didn't even get off the bus. It took us thirty minutes to get back on the road. Then to make up for time our driver drove so fast over the narrow bumpy roads causing both boys to get sick. Th

First of all I want to thank everyone (American) who voted. There are far too many things at risk for us to sit out an election. Every vote does count.  We had election day off and the kids also had two days off for a teacher's convention. So we decided to go away. Last year we had spent a couple of days in New York City . This time we decided to go to Jamaica.  But before we were able to get on that plane just about everything went wrong. Earlier that week H had a fever. He tested negative for Covid. Phew. Felt better went back to school. Towards the end of the week was sent home from school because had a fever again. Felt perfectly fine again and then Sunday afternoon he lost his voice and start coughing a lot. No fever. Come evening, he runs to us coughing and hitting his chest gasping for air!! I feared RSV which is the new trending virus popular with the kids. Urgent care took excellent care of him, back to breathing normally again. Gave him some medicine and told us to nebuli

Happy Halloween everyone! We had a party at our home on Saturday.. spent Sunday recovering and cleaning. And today H went dressed up, he will have a parade and a class party and then trick or treating at night. D cares a lot less as he is 'older' now. I have been hosting the Halloween party for years now.. it is low key.. so crazy elaborate costumes.. we mostly stick to cat ears and scary masks.. it's more about the getting together than anything else. Initially I put in a lot of effort with themed food. By now I feel like I have already done most of the ideas.. and I don't want to making the more crazy elaborate things out there on the internet. I want to keep entertaining fun and honestly as long as the food is good our friends don't care. Now that we have wrapped up our Greece adventure   I guess we have no choice but to talk about the now. What have we been up to lately..  Not much honestly, kids are back to their regular routines of school and extracurriculars. H is really into all sports right now.. so he plays a little soccer, basketball and tennis. D on the other hand plays tennis and is in the math club and coding class. Meaning time is scarce and then of course the heaps of homework D gets is a whole other story. So not much excitement over the week.  The boys did manage to go watch a Giants game. They even got to fist bump a player whose name I have already forgotten.  We also put up our Halloween decorations. Halloween is a big holiday for us, we host a yearly party as well. I'll share more pics later.  I have been keeping an eye out for some versatile earrings.. I wore hoops on our trip and I loved how they elevated the looks, went with everything and were easy to pack. I found some chic hoop earrings .
