                               I thought I had already shared this one. In the last photography post I mentioned us staring up at the stunning blue ceiling.. well this was what I was talking about. The Notre Dame Cathedral in Ottawa, I had never known there was any Notre Dame's other than the famous one in Paris. Turns out there are over 70.. most of them in France. Notre Dame means 'Our Lady'. The beautiful vaulted ceiling has small gold embellishment on the cobalt blue background. When we visited D was a wee one and his favorite.. I mean I will listen to nothing else favorite nursery rhyme was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and this ceiling reminded me of just that. So I named it Starry Blue.  You can buy this print here .                               I took this one back in 2011 when we visited Ottawa with a very little D. The photograph is of the large hanging lights dotting the exterior of the Ottawa Parliament building.                                This too was taken at the Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown where I took last weeks photograph. It was especially special because it was where D rode his first carousel. In those early years we cherish those first so very much.                                When D was just one year old we took a little road trip to Upstate New York. While we were their we visited Cooperstown. We didn't know then but turns out Cooperstown is home to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I don't even know why we chose Cooperstown. Neither of us are interested in baseball.  But there is a Farmer's Museum and they had a carousel and farm animals. Well in one of the room there was this chair sitting in the corner of the room.                                I took this photograph in the Vatican Museums. It is an abstraction of " Sphere within Sphere " (Sfera con sfera) by Italian artist Arnaldo Pomodoro , located in the Cortile della Pigna (Pinecone Courtyard) of the Vatican Museums; it's a cracked, golden bronze sphere revealing a complex interior, symbolizing the modern world's fragility and hidden complexities.                                These simple gray plastic chairs are found in St. Peter's Square, Vatican City. They are set up temporarily for large Vatican events like Papal Audiences or Masses, providing seating for thousands of faithful who gather outdoors to see the Pope.  We happened to be visiting when they were set up and I like the repetitive pattern they created.. a sea of chairs.
