H turned seven at the start of the year.. and with the current state of things there wasn't much of our usual celebrations. We settled for take out, a movie and a slice of his currently favorite cheesecake. Key Lime.

3. What is your favorite fruit? Raspberries
4. What is your favorite food? Any thing meat! 
5. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Cookie Monster
7. What is your favorite tv show? Buddy Fight
8. What is your favorite animal? Sabertooth Tiger
9. What is your favorite song? Don't Stop Believing by Journey (he likes the Glee version)
10. What is your favorite book? Harry Potter
11. Who is your best friend? -
12. What is your favorite game? Munchkin (it's an insane role playing game meant for way older kids)
13. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Play football
14. What do you want to be when you grow up? Illustrator
15. What is your favorite thing to do with mummy? Hug
16. What is your favorite thing to do with baba? Swimming and playing in the water
17. What is your favorite thing to do with D? Play Roblox with him
18. What makes you feel sad? Covid and not being able to go on vacation
19. What makes you feel happy? funny videos of people smacking their faces on the ground -_-
20. What was your favorite thing about your birthday? When mummy said she bought the wrong flavored cheesecake but she didn't.

This is so sweet!! What a great memory to look back on. I'm glad he likes Stomp Rockets. That was our go-to birthday gift for boys back when our kids went to tons of birthday parties. I know girls love them too --they were just easier to buy for! I don't know Cookie Monster ice cream but it sounds good. I'm glad he got his favorite cheescake!

That is the funniest picture of your son covered in leaves. Such an awesome photo. I smiled when he said his favorite thing to do outside was play football because my son played football for many years. We had such fun watching him throughout the years. It's sweet that his favorite song is Don't Stop Believing. I won't H, I will always believe. Thank you for the reminder. : )

When the wall between our family room and kitchen see details here came down we had to deal with two different flooring, old carpet and newish laminate. The plan was to find the same laminate.. we found the box in the basement, how hard could it be? Harder than we thought.. that particular one had been discontinued.. and finding something similar was not an easy task..  Finding a flooring that was kind of close but not close enough would seem like a mistake.. so we decided to go different, this way it would seem like an intentional design choice.. I had always wanted a chocolaty dark floor.. The next thing to take into consideration was the transition between the two floors.. generally what is used it a T- Moulding, that strip you see in the above picture connecting the two floors together. D's Amazing Race Party

Last weekend our eldest turned 9.. and we threw him an amazing race birthday party! As with all the boys other parties.. I bought a plain white cake from Wegmans and let D decorate it himself. We had a total of nine kids.. they picked bandanna's out of a bag to create 3 teams. First Task Not all the kids knew each other.. they were too amped up with the idea of winning that they couldn't manage to calm down and read the clue.. so we had to really guide them through it.. they made mistakes and we let it go.. it seemed a tad chaotic..  Second Task I had 33 little medicine cups filled with M&M's and Goldfish crackers.. 6 of them had stickers on the bottom. The first two teams found the sticker in the first try... what are the odds!? And the third team had to eat a lot of snacks before they finally found their sticker. Third Task I bought 48 piece puzzles from the Dollar Tree. The boys took their time making ...
