When D was just one year old we took a little road trip to Upstate New York. While we were their we visited Cooperstown. We didn't know then but turns out Cooperstown is home to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I don't even know why we chose Cooperstown. Neither of us are interested in baseball.  But there is a Farmer's Museum and they had a carousel and farm animals. Well in one of the room there was this chair sitting in the corner of the room. So simple yet it caught my eye.  Framed Print Planner Small Print Tote                               Etsy             Instagram             Twitter             Redbubble             Zazzle

Synopsis  - It’s a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the grand Cornwall Inn wearing a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. She's immediately mistaken by everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she’s actually the only guest at the Cornwall who isn’t here for the big event. Phoebe is here because she’s dreamed of coming for years—she hoped to shuck oysters and take sunset sails with her husband, only now she’s here without him, at rock bottom, and determined to have one last decadent splurge on herself. Meanwhile, the bride has accounted for every detail and every possible disaster the weekend might yield except for, well, Phoebe and Phoebe's plan—which makes it that much more surprising when the two women can’t stop confiding in each other. Thoughts - This was my last book of 2025. It has been a popular book and I can see why. I thoroughly enjoyed it even the annoying moments. Lilah was a lot but I liked her ...

I took this photograph in the Vatican Museums. It is an abstraction of " Sphere within Sphere " (Sfera con sfera) by Italian artist Arnaldo Pomodoro , located in the Cortile della Pigna (Pinecone Courtyard) of the Vatican Museums; it's a cracked, golden bronze sphere revealing a complex interior, symbolizing the modern world's fragility and hidden complexities.                                These simple gray plastic chairs are found in St. Peter's Square, Vatican City. They are set up temporarily for large Vatican events like Papal Audiences or Masses, providing seating for thousands of faithful who gather outdoors to see the Pope.  We happened to be visiting when they were set up and I like the repetitive pattern they created.. a sea of chairs. Granada, Spain

Image
The second city we visited was Granada. Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of four rivers, the Darro, the Genil, the Monachil and the Beiro. It was the last Muslim stronghold in Spain before its 1492 fall to Catholic Monarchs, Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand II. In Spanish granada means pomegranate. We caught a 7:45 am train, it was a 2.5 hour journey so we tried tried to catch some zzz's on the way there.  We took a quick taxi to The Alhambra Palace. The Alhambra palace is stunning palace and fortress complex built chiefly between 1238 and 1358 under Muhammad I, founder of the Nasrid Dynasty. The complex is free to enter but to enter the palace you must have a timed ticket and carry your passport for identification. Tickets sell out during high season. We entered through the justice gate bringing us close to the The Alcazaba: The oldest part of the complex, built primarily for military defense. Next we visited the Palace of Charles...
