36 Hours in Zermatt

Image
The next morning we left Zurich and took at three and a half hour train to Zermatt. Zermatt is a small town nestled in the foothills of Matterhorn. The Matterhorn is a mountain of the Alps, straddling the main watershed and border between Switzerland and Italy. It is a large, near-symmetric pyramidal peak. This is not a route I would suggest. We shared rice and noodle bowl from Rice Up Then we checked into our hotel which was conveniently located across the street from the train station and next to Bahnhofstrasse (the 5th ave or Champ Eleysees of Zurich). We sat along the River Limmat and sipped our coffees and enjoyed our fresh and delicious treats.  We wandered some more until we reach the tip of Lake Zurich. From there we hopped onto a bus that took us to the Lindt Chocolate Factory. I shared the post last week.. you can check it out here if you missed it.  After the tour we were pretty tired so we came ...
