The Story Of Us

Things have been busy but not much has been happening. Mostly routine.. both kids have joined clubs so most days one of them is not coming home on the bus and I have to pick them up.  The weather has been getting nicer.. though the afternoons are still pretty hot.. the air condition has officially been off for over a week. Cross that, I wrote too soon, we had to turn it in last night and we’ll be hitting 80 the next few days.  Oh well.  I love spotting mushrooms on walks. I even saw a skunk the other day.. that I stayed far far away from.  I started a new puzzle. How do you puzzle? Do you make the border first or do you just go for it. On Thursday we went into the city as the kids had the day off. We tried out some new interactive gaming place called GameBox. It was fun and we have tons of videos of everyone behaving silly. Afterwards the boys went to a Rangers (NHL) pre season game and I joined my cousin for a head spa.  If you haven't heard of a head spa.. wel...

This past month we had Halloween on our minds.. the boys thought up of new way to decorate the house.. M cut the spider webs on the windows out of garbage bags.. The spooky hands were created using latex gloves and a sharpie  and upcycled milk jugs.. these the boys really enjoyed making.. picking out scary faces and helping with the coloring as well We also hosted a little Halloween party at home with our friends.. photo dump below :) Happy Halloween!!                          Etsy             Instagram             Twitter             Bloglovin   

The New York Botanical Gardens was hosting a Chihuly exhibition this summer and I had so hoped to be able to go check it out.. but before I knew it summer had slipped through our fingers. So when I got an email telling me that the exhibition was going to to be there till the end of October I made sure we got to go check it out before then. When we went for hajj we made some new friends with another couple from New Jersey and thought we'd invite them along.. get our kids to bond, their daughter brought along some of her friends and you know what they say.. the more the merrier.
