Hello October
Things have been busy but not much has been happening. Mostly routine.. both kids have joined clubs so most days one of them is not coming home on the bus and I have to pick them up.
I love spotting mushrooms on walks. I even saw a skunk the other day.. that I stayed far far away from.
I started a new puzzle. How do you puzzle? Do you make the border first or do you just go for it.
Afterwards the boys went to a Rangers (NHL) pre season game and I joined my cousin for a head spa.
If you haven't heard of a head spa.. well it's a place where someone washes your hair for about an hour.
It was so relaxing.. our heads were massaged, brushed, washed, conditioned. Between washes they also massaged our back and gave us a mini facial. Bliss.
With our shiny heads of hair and glowing faces.. no pictures.. we walked around a bit before grabbing two steaming hot bowls of ramen at Tangy Noodles.
Lovely photos. I love the patterns on the mushroom. Good thing you stayed far away from the skunk. The meal bowl 🥣 looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteFungus is good to see, we don't turn our A/C on unless it;s about 30deg C, love the heat if I don't have to work in it. I expect if the humidity is high it makes a difference, so then it needs to be turned on.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of that spa treatment! x
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to check out a head spa!

I always start jigsaw puzzles with the border. Makes things go easier, I think. A head spa sounds like bliss. It is that time of year for lots to do, but nothing terribly exciting.

ReplyDeleteYour children are at the age when you and/or your husband need to find a TAXI sign to attach to your cars!
ReplyDeleteWhen we do puzzles, we always do the border first. I had my hair cut last week and my favorite part is having him wash it. How awesome that spas are offering this because it is so relaxing. The ramen bowl looks delish!!
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like October got off to a grand start for you all! Lots of fun adventuring and relaxing, too! :) We had some of that warm weather for most of September and the start of this month but today is much cooler so maybe fall decided to show up now. Have a great rest of the week!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this time of year, and sometimes it's a good thing that nothing much is happening. I can't get my head around someone washing your hair for about an hour. I don't think I'd find that very relaxing, but I'm glad to read that you did! xxx
ReplyDeleteI also prefer to start a puzzle with the border first, also I have never heard of a head spa but it souds relaxing
ReplyDeletehI hENA, You had me at puzzle and head spa! My kids are adamant that puzzles start with borders and color schemes. Okay must get details on head spa. Is this in the city. Since I am not sure which state the Rangers ... wait it's NY so is the head spa in the city. Adding to my trip list for my next visit!
