The Story Of Us

Happy New Year!! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.. we had a great December. It had the perfect amount of festivities and time spent at home relaxing. Before I do a look back and round up the year I want to share with you our little Christmas getaway.  We took the boys up to Camelback Mountain Resort and Indoor Water Park. It was a great time.. we splashed around.. took a ski lesson and then hit the slopes. D was a natural.. H not so much.. but of course that's understandable..he's still little. The first week of August M began his one month non compete leave and being the planners that we.. I am, we had a certain set expectations of what this month was to be.. we wanted to have fun, we wanted to relax, we wanted to get back on top of things with our list of never ending errands, we wanted to spend some time with family.. we wanted to spend some time without the kids.. just us.. we needed some adult time.. and now weeks after M has gone back to work and we are back to our regular routines I can look back and saw that we had a kick ass month that lived up to everything we had hoped to get out of it and more! We kicked it off with a trip to the Poconos with my brother and sister in law, leaving the kids at home with grandparents. I signed us up for a Zip Lining 3 Hour Adventure Course at the Skytop Lodge in the Poconos. This was the first time any of us had zip lined and it was awesome.. the course itself was crazy awesome.. there was four levels of obstacles.. perfect way to

The past few months, weeks, days have been crazy.. so much has been happening that we've had almost no time to relax and have fun. We've snuck in a dinner here and a movie there.. some fun in the snow but for the most part we're just exhausted.. This last weekend was my dad's one and only weekend in town and April get's super crazy at work for M so we thought.. ESCAPE! And what can be better than a warm indoor water park in this cold wet what is supposed to be spring.. we are still wearing our bubble jackets. While we were hoping the weekend was going to be great.. I was still prepared for it to fail. The last time we went to an indoor water park it was cold indoors and D was afraid of most of it. Thank God but we had a blast! even H got in on the water fun!  There were seven awesome slides.. three of them especially awesome.. and thanks to my parents being there.. they played with the kids while M and I squeezed in some much needed us time.. we chatt
