When the wall between our family room and kitchen see details here came down we had to deal with two different flooring, old carpet and newish laminate. The plan was to find the same laminate.. we found the box in the basement, how hard could it be? Harder than we thought.. that particular one had been discontinued.. and finding something similar was not an easy task.. Finding a flooring that was kind of close but not close enough would seem like a mistake.. so we decided to go different, this way it would seem like an intentional design choice.. I had always wanted a chocolaty dark floor.. The next thing to take into consideration was the transition between the two floors.. generally what is used it a T- Moulding, that strip you see in the above picture connecting the two floors together. Not the prettiest option. Pinterest to the rescue.. Adding tile to the mix would help to blend the two different brown together and there would be no awkward bump in t...

The most beautiful sign of Spring!
ReplyDeleteCherry blossoms are lovely, but usually fleeting in my area.
ReplyDeleteUgh, the cherry blossoms! So pretty! One day I hope to time my visit just right to see them in person.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I can't wait until some of the beautiful colors of spring flowers start to show themselves around here. Something about the color and scent of flowers that brightens any day.
ReplyDeleteGreat image.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely photo! I hope our cherry blossoms will hold out for a little longer before they pop so that we might actually get some cherries this year! We're forecasted for a deep freeze and some good snow this weekend, so that should help :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous photo! The selective color works really well on this image.
ReplyDeleteOh this photo is beautiful

ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always, Hena:)
ReplyDeleteThat's such a pretty picture. We have a few blossom trees in the neighborhood and it's always pretty to see when they're in bloom, it's a shame it only lasts a few days.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely one indeed!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
What a beautiful memory! 🌸 Washington DC must have been absolutely stunning with those cherry blossoms in full bloom. I can only imagine how special that trip was. I’ve heard the history behind the cherry trees is so meaningful too — what a lovely gift of friendship. 🌿 If I ever get the chance, it’s definitely on my list!
