Candytopia
We had tickets to a Rangers game this weekend.. we thought of going into the city a few hours earlier and spend some time there before the game.
We didn't want to wander too far away from that area so I found a candy themed exhibition a block away called Candytopia.
and they finished it all off with a marshmallow ball pit.
There were timed tickets you had to buy online and we were escorted in as a group. Just like in Legoland.. here everything was made out of candy.
As you can see below, it took 13,000 pieces of candy and 48 hours to make this little fox.
and they finished it all off with a marshmallow ball pit.
Not to mention all the free candy they got in every room, this is only some.. much of it was eaten.
Afterwards we went to Madison Square Garden to watch the Rangers crush the Penguin in a 6-0 game. You can check out my Instagram for all our Rangers videos here.
Sunday was spent doing a lot of nothing..
Candytopia looks so fun! And I love the Garden!
ReplyDeleteOh, I know someone else who went to the Candytopia exhibit! It looked so fun! (And she's my age, so I'm sure it was 10x as fun for actual children haha!) Awesome that you got to go to a Rangers game! I can't remember the last time I went to a hockey game, which is sad because I used to be a very devoted fan!
ReplyDeleteHow cool to find this candy art exhibit so close by the game. It looked super fun.And the game too, last time I went to a hockey game was about a decade ago. When my friends father passed the Islanders had a moment of silence. He was a fire fighter and big in the community and was of course a big Islanders fan.
ReplyDeleteWow! That artwork made with candy is amazing!
ReplyDeleteJelly bean mosiacs...how fun! Looks like a place I'd like to visit!!

ReplyDeleteCandytopia would be a kid's dream. What an interesting place where everthing is made out of candy. Kind of like Willy Wonka haha. That fox is too cute to eat. I noticed he had candy corns on him. The marshmallow pit looks fun. And all the candy they want in every room! What a delightful place to take the kids for the day.

ReplyDeleteWhata fun place! and 6-0!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure whether to be concerned or impressed. (At who would spend the time making such things out of candy. If it's there, of course you should go and see it.) Great score on the free candy from the tour.
ReplyDeleteCandytopia looks like so much fun! I love all of the artwork that was created!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a lot of fun!!

ReplyDeleteThe candy place was a scream alright! Great family weekend!
ReplyDeleteI bet the boys had a ball! That was amazing. It was weird where far away it looked like art and up close looked like candy. And free candy - what kid doesn't love. Me, I like chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI bet Candytopia is sponsored by the American Dental Association.
