Recent Purchases
So I don't generally talk about my recent purchases... but I am so very pleased with some of my latest ones I feel the need to share.
The first one is a pour over coffee maker. I purchased this one and we are so pleased with it. The coffee is simple to make and simple to clean. I can easily just make one cup just for myself. Now what we are working on is finding the coffee we like the best.. we have tried the common brands, Folgers and Maxwell. Preferred Maxwell. We are currently drinking Wegmans in store brand.. on the fence about that one.. what coffee brand do you drink? We don't do flavors and drink a medium roast. I'd love to hear from you guys so we can try different brands.. yay coffee :)

My second favorite purchase was an Air Fryer. Got this one on a great deal! Love it so much bought another one as a gift. I use it so often.. especially for the kids lunches.. no more using oil.. no more paper towels to blot the oil.. did you know you can even boil an egg in it! We roasted pumpkin seeds in a fraction of the time and they came out perfectly crunchy.
My third and last purchase were these. I have a lot of trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep. Then I feel sleepy and tired all day long.. I have been taking melatonin for some time now but it hasn't been helping much. I spotted these and have been taking them for a few weeks now and they are a game changer.. I am sleeping so much better.. M even took some and he can feel a difference in his sleep as well..
A very Happy Thanksgiving to all those celebrating
You have picked some great items.

Great finds, Hena, especially that coffee maker. We make our coffee the old fashioned way, pour over, with a separate ceramic filter holder and recycled paper filter bags. Unfortunately, as we have very different brands here in Belgium, I'm unable to give you any recommendations on which coffee to use! xxx
ReplyDeleteWhen I used ground coffee, I always preferred Nabob. Very smooth, no bitter aftertaste.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and SIL were given an air fryer and love it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite brand of coffee is Grounds & Hounds. It might be a little pricey, but I'm all on board since (as you can imagine, given all my dogs) they benefit rescue animals. Plus, they're 100% Fair Trade and Organic. Best of all, their coffee tastes great! Just look for groundsandhoundscoffee dot com
Super inspiring like always

I'm not a coffee drinker but Rick is! That's a great idea. and I'm glad you are getting better sleep.
ReplyDeleteI hope your sleep pattern improves. I listen to a podcast most nights to help me stop thinking too much. If it is one that is interesting but not too much, I fall asleep really quickly. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteOh this is cool! I use a french press. The benefit is that you can make only one cup. The down side is that the coffee does not stay hot and cools off quickly.

I drink tea rather than coffee (food sensitivities). I bought my partner an air fryer last year and he loves it. Less oil, and an easier clean up are always winners.
ReplyDeleteSleep is an issue for me, so I will investigate. Thank you.
the sleep stuff sounds intriguing!!
ReplyDeleteI also have a huge problem when it comes to sleep so thanks for the heads up about the sleep aid! And yay for the coffee maker:) My hubby and I drink the Tim Horton's or Costco Kirkland brand. We're not very fussy with our coffee:D
ReplyDeleteI got an air fryer last year and it was life changing. I use it all the time to make full meals.
ReplyDeleteI would be pretty happy with an air fryer purchase!! xo, Biana-BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI've heard amazing things about air fryers! I have trouble staying asleep too and need to check out that supplement!

My husband LOVES his pour over coffee. Heck, he liked it so much he has two of them now!! Even I, (who doesn't get the coffee thing) thinks it's much smoother this way. But I don't understand why? LOL

Love your finds, Hena. I am more of a tea person though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!

Oh, I'm glad you got a single coffee filter. It makes the best coffee, and easy to make. I usually drink Starbuck's, but sometimes Folgers. That's good also. The quote that you shared, "things I hope to find in my coffee" is delightful, love that. I enjoyed your post very much, as I'm a coffee lover. : )
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, and thank you for all your visits.

I love that coffee graphic. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the Green Mountain coffees. My favorites are the Nantucket Blend, which is a medium blend, and the Breakfast Blend, which is a lighter roast.
I love it when I find something that really has a positive impact on my life. I don't drink coffee so I have no recommendations for you there. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLove my air fryer too. But didn't know you can boil an egg in it!

I had to click through to find out what a pour-over coffee maker is! We love our old-fashioned stovetop coffee maker and I buy various organic ground coffee brands as long as they're fair trade. To be honest, as long as it's strong coffee, my tastebuds aren't sophisticated enough to tell the difference!
ReplyDeleteThat pour over coffee maker looks really cool. We really like Starbucks blends so I always buy bags of their whole beans and grind them fresh. Makes a great cup of coffee. We like Sumatra, but that one's really strong.
ReplyDeleteLovely finds Hena!

I've never purchased a pour over coffee maker !! Love the idea though. I don't own an air fryer either but it's on my Christmas wish list ! Have a fabulous Thanksgiving !
ReplyDeleteIf you're a coffee drinker I think it's justified to invest in a coffee maker because obviously you want good quality coffee every day.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really interesting topic! I didn't even think about it. Thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteHope that your week is going well :) I had a Christmas night out with friends last night, it was a lot of fun!
