Penny Spinners and Dinosaurs
Our ping pong table was finally delivered..and with it came tons of card board. Like all kids D grew up being a big fan of boxes and now H is following suit.. but usually they have always focused on playing inside the box..
So I was pleasantly surprised and incredibly pleased when I asked H to help put the little cardboard pieces in the recycling and he replied.. 'I think we can make something with them'
My proportions were all over the place.. T-Rex was especially disastrous since he could seem to stand upright.. but the kids didn't seem to care too much.

And so I went where everyone goes.. Pinterest! We started with making dinosaurs.
My proportions were all over the place.. T-Rex was especially disastrous since he could seem to stand upright.. but the kids didn't seem to care too much.
and then we made penny spinners.. except we used quarters..
I have a few more things I'd want to try with them.. not too complicated.. I like the easy crafts..
source I bought some multicolored yarn
source the car looks easy.. and cute..
With the holidays coming closer I may be a little more MIA.. we have a trip planned for the holidays.. so this may be my last post of the year.. so in case it is I want to wish you all a very happy and wonderful love filled holiday and a happy happy New Year.. See ya in 2019!
AWESOME re-use of that cardboard! Plus everyone got to exercise their creativity -- big win for all!
ReplyDeleteLove those dinosaurs! When I shipped my son and his girl's Christmas gifts, I told him to tell their cat that the shipping box was his gift. I've already received a photo of Ornstein in "his" box. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holidays!
Cardboard boxes are so much fun! My kids are not a bit older and I miss them playing with boxes and making stuff from boxes. Love those cute dinosaurs!
ReplyDeleteNow that's the perfect thing to reuse the cardboard like that Hena!!

How funny:)
ReplyDeleteNeat little projects, and I see that your kids are part cat with their love of boxes. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post! I love seeing the boys in their boxes. Kids and animals spend more time playing with the empty boxes than they do with what's in the box (one year I gave my cat a bag stuffed with tissue and she spent waaayyyy more time with that than with the catnip toys she also got). My kids liked to use the boxes to make forts. I love that H thought to use the cardboard to make crafts - you have an artist in the making there! And it's great that they're learning recycling so early in life. Great craft choices, too! I hope you have an amazing trip and Happy Holidays to you and your family.
