Birthday Weekend

Image
We are finally done with all our Costa Rican travel posts, which I hope you enjoyed and are now in current time.   The week before last M and I celebrated our birthdays. It was in the middle of the week so we didn't really do much but we had big plans for the weekend.  At what point do we get to blow out our own candles? Actually we have stopped doing candles. At just 16 square kilometres, Manuel Antonio is the smallest of Costa Rica’s 161 national parks but the most visited. We opted not to get a guide.. though I was having doubts the day of since we hadn't really seen as many animals on this trip as I had expected. When we asked at the ticket booth they had no more guides available.. but thankfully we saw our first animal within min
