One Line a Day

A few years.. actually almost a decade ago I started a 'one line a day' journal. I blogged about it here. I was never much of a journaling kind growing up. But after D was born I wanted to remember everything.. even the small things. Now almost a decade ago I wish I had started it earlier.. remember more about my pregnancy.. remember the early kid free years of marriage. So much so.. that at the start of the year I started journals for the boys.


        
Currently I fill the journal for them.. else they'd never do it.. 


This one is mine.. I'm about the finish my second journal.. it's so much fun looking back at what we did that day in the past years.

this is awesome. I journal and did it from 14 yo until my early twenties then QUIT until my mid forties. Yup, no documentation of my children nor what those little bits of interesting things they said or did....I am appalled at myself.

I'm loving this idea, as I've always regretted not keeping a journal beyond my teenage years. My blog kind of replaces that, but I too wish I'd started earlier. A wonderful idea to start keeping them for your boys! xxx

I used to do this when I was in college! It's so great because you easily forget about most of the things you and people you see. I just started using a planner again and I caught myself trying to use as it a journal as well. DO you think I should do this for my toddler, or is she too young? Have a great week!

“One Line A Day” journal by jotting down all important memories that you want to remember in future is a great way dear Hena. From this article it is very clear how much you enjoy writing a line one day. Your pre-pregnancy days, during pregnancy times and once the boys were born is a long time to account and done very well.

When the wall between our family room and kitchen see details here came down we had to deal with two different flooring, old carpet and newish laminate. The plan was to find the same laminate.. we found the box in the basement, how hard could it be? Harder than we thought.. that particular one had been discontinued.. and finding something similar was not an easy task..  Finding a flooring that was kind of close but not close enough would seem like a mistake.. so we decided to go different, this way it would seem like an intentional design choice.. D's Amazing Race Party

Last weekend our eldest turned 9.. and we threw him an amazing race birthday party! As with all the boys other parties.. I bought a plain white cake from Wegmans and let D decorate it himself. We had a total of nine kids.. they picked bandanna's out of a bag to create 3 teams. First Task Not all the kids knew each other.. they were too amped up with the idea of winning that they couldn't manage to calm down and read the clue.. so we had to really guide them through it.. they made mistakes and we let it go.. it seemed a tad chaotic..  Second Task I had 33 little medicine cups filled with M&M's and Goldfish crackers.. 6 of them had stickers on the bottom. The first two teams found the sticker in the first try... what are the odds!? And the third team had to eat a lot of snacks before they finally found their sticker. Third Task I bought 48 piece puzzles from the Dollar Tree. The boys took their time making ...
