The Story Of Us

From Charlotte to Savannah and then to Charleston , finally we found ourselves in Myrtle Beach. With the way the weather has been we weren't sure how warm it would be so I tried to find a resort the had enough indoor activities in case it was too cold outside. With two indoor water parks Dunes Village seemed to fit the bill. While through out the trip the 6 of us for making it work in a single room with double beds here we were finally able to enjoy an apartment style room with two bedroom and two baths.. !! :)  The Water Park The Beach.. we got amazing weather :) We had lunch at Rooster's in Broadway at the Beach, a boardwalk style promenade with shops and rides. For dinner we had Shawarma Company delivered to our room.. there is something so satisfying about being freshly showered eating in your pj's after a day of fun. The next morning we ate the breakfast buffet at the hotel.. seriously lacking in all departments but very convenient. We ate

We are on day 11 of fasting and my productivity level has gone way down.. hence the lack of posts :( . The weather has also been so gray and rainy not helping in lifting our moods.. I just want to crawl in bed and take a nap.. and then a deer decided to hit my car!! So while that is being fixed $$ we have only one car.. meaning I get to wake up an hour earlier to drop him off at the bus station.. yawn. I don't mean to depress all of you.. not asking for a pity party.. well maybe a little one :) Anyway.. I finally got through all the Charleston pictures.. and there were a lot and I'm ready to share!   But before we got to Charleston we made a little stop to see a big old tree.. Angel Oak We arrived in Charleston in the afternoon.. checked in and decided to head out to explore.. we walked along North King St. For dinner he stopped at Smoke BBQ and had the most amazing meal  and capped it of with the very good Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream. Getting back to our road trip, which we started with a drive down to Charlotte  and then a stop in Chimney Rock  after which we headed down to Savannah. The next morning we started with a sublime breakfast at the Mirabelle Cafe. It was a beautiful day, we sat outside people watching and enjoying our food, the peach was everyone's favorite. We didn't have a planned schedule, we hoped to just wander about enjoying the city and in all our enjoyment we ended up not taking many pictures. We also had a few hiccups. D had a bathroom accident, while in one of the squares something bit H's scalp and he ended up with so many itchy bumps in his hair which made him miserable.  We had delicious taco's at Tequila Town, we walked up and down river street, visited the Colonia Park cemetery, the boys enjoy Pete the Cat art work in a City Market gallery. We stood in a long long line to get a scoop of ice cream from the infamous Leopold's Ice Cream. Very good
