It's Been 15 Years

Over the weekend M and I celebrated our 15th anniversary. We headed to NYC on Saturday evening and had dinner at The Palm.

They did such a wonderful job of making us feel special. And the dessert (a most decadent chocolate cake) was on the house.

All the walls were covered in celebrity caricatures.

Afterwards we hurried on over to catch a Broadway show. This year we choose SIX. Making it our eleventh show! You can see the whole list here.

So while this was not our favorite show we did have a great time. I think we'd rate it middle of the pack. We have just seen so many amazing shows. It was a really fun, great music. What I loved was that it was an all female cast, even the band in the back had these amazingly talent middle aged women. The cast was diverse in both race and body type. It was a great show about female empowerment and to not let a man define who we are. I would recommend it for a girls night out. It was not too long, pretty short actually at just 90 minutes. The costumes and vocals were great.. you couldn't not move to the beat.

We walked around for a bit before heading to our hotel. The city is just so alive.. especially at night. Especially around Christmas with the lights up all around the city. We did not venture in the Rockefeller area.. too crowded. But we did see the Macy's Christmas displays.

Back at the hotel we finished the leftovers of the massive and delicious chocolate cake from The Palm.

The next morning we met up with my cousin for breakfast... we met her at Citizens of Chelsea

On our way back to Penn Station to catch a train home.. (all the while M was glued to his phone watching the FIFA World Cup final) we walked by a bakery with the most beautiful looking croissants. We had to stop and pick some up for the boys.

We were on the train when Argentina won.. there were other people on the train also watching and we were all collectively oohing and hooting.. yay Argentina.

And that is a wrap. This will be my last post of the year. I wish you all a very Happy Holiday full of loved ones and laughter. Also a very Happy New Year. See you in 2023!
